Open East Festival: Visit And Relive memories Of London Olympics

Open East FestivalThe Open East Festival being held from 27-28 July will mark the first anniversary of the London 2012 Games. Ticket holders will see north of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park being set for a packed weekend in all revelry charged by high octane entertainment, art and culinary wonders.  The event is one of the first events to be held in the newly reopened Park.

Organisers of the Festival

The event is being organised in association with the Barbican and east London arts venture Create.  The performances from groups like Theatre Royal Stratford East, Boy Blue and Ida Barr will enrich the festival.

Cricket Frenzy Set to Grip London as ICC Champions Trophy is in Town

London will be in cricketing frenzy very soon. The ICC Champions Trophy, regarded as the second in importance to World Cup Cricket will be played in England and Wales between 06 and 23 June 2013 in the cities of London (The Oval), Birmingham (Edgbaston) and Cardiff (SWALEC Stadium).

The tournament has already brought global attention to London with perceived excitement to see the world’s top eight ODI teams showcasing their cricketing power in four round-robin games and in the semi-final. The winners await $2 million in prize money, which is the largest since its inception. There is one more attraction–this tournament will be the seventh and last of ICC Champions Trophy as it is being replaced by the ICC World Test Championship in 2017. Read more
